What triggers a breach (quick list) + common “I didn’t know” cases

Program Instant Funding One Phase Two Phase
Severity Critical

TL;DR

Most breaches come from 3 buckets:

  1. Drawdown
  2. Forbidden practices
  3. Funded restrictions (news/weekend/trade during reward-processing)

How it works

PropXP flags/acts on:

  • Objective rule breaks (hard breaches)
  • Pattern-based abuse (review > warning/deny/fail/terminate)

Quick trigger list (the stuff that ends accounts fast)

  • Exceed Max Daily Loss or Max Loss (equity-based)
  • Use forbidden trading practices (hedging/correlation hedging, external/slow feeds, latency/HFT-style automation, manipulation, arbitrage/gap abuse, etc.)
  • News/weekend restrictions on Funded/Instant Funding when you don’t have the relevant add-on
  • Trading during reward processing (reward request can be cancelled/rejected)
  • Inactivity (no trades for 30 consecutive days = termination)
  • Account sharing / third-party trading (ownership can’t be verified = compliance/fraud action)
  • Breaching the max floating loss rule twice (Instant Funding only)
  • Closes/reductions under 2 minutes on Funded Accounts and Instant Funding (Minimum Holding Time rule). This is assessed based on behavior/patterns and can lead to warning, trade exclusions/adjustments, reward denial, restrictions, and/or account termination.

Common “I didn’t know” cases

  • “It was only floating loss” = still counts (equity).
  • “My pending order triggered by itself” = still counts as executing.
  • “I was on VPN / traveling” = inconsistent location/device patterns can trigger review.
  • “I didn’t manipulate anything” = if the strategy relies on platform/data-feed quirks, it can be treated as abuse.
  • “But I didn’t manual close.” If your EA/bot is closing/reducing positions under 2 minutes as a routine on Funded/Instant Funding, that still counts as you initiating the close.

Example

You don’t “break rules” all month on your Funded account… then you hold through restricted news without the add-on and a pending triggers inside the window. That’s still a violation.
