Breaking trading rules, trading while your reward is being processed, or ignoring account restrictions can result in your Performance Reward being reduced, delayed, cancelled, or denied.
Some violations may also affect your profit split or account status.
A Performance Reward request is only clean if:
If something needs reviewing, PropXP may delay, adjust, withhold, cancel, or deny a Performance Reward while the account is reviewed.
For Funded Accounts and Instant Funding accounts, every trade must remain open for at least 2 minutes (120 seconds).
Any trade that is fully or partially closed before 120 seconds is a violation.
That includes:
And yes — it applies whether the trade closes in profit or loss.
If we identify one or more trades that violated the 2-minute minimum holding time:
If multiple sub-2-minute trades occurred before we issued your warning, they may be handled together as part of the same first violation.
Once your profit split has been reduced to 50% and we’ve sent your first-violation warning, any new trade closed or reduced before 120 seconds will result in a hard breach.
The second-violation rule applies only to trades executed after your warning has been issued.
So:
First violation → profits removed + losses stay + 50% profit split + warning
Next violation after the warning → hard breach
Minimum holding time isn’t the only rule that matters.
Your Performance Reward may also be affected by things like:
Always check the rules that apply to your specific account and any add-ons you have enabled.
“I requested my reward but kept trading.”
Don’t. Once you submit a Performance Reward request, treat the account like it’s in read-only mode until the request is confirmed and paid.
“My SL got hit before 2 minutes.”
It still counts as a Minimum Holding Time violation.
“My TP hit before 2 minutes.”
Same thing.
“My EA closed the trade.”
Your EA, your responsibility.
“The trade lost money anyway.”
The 2-minute rule applies whether the trade wins or loses. Losses remain on the account.
“I only closed part of the position.”
Partial closes before 120 seconds count too.
“I didn’t know.”
If you’re unsure about a rule, check the FAQ or ask Support before placing the trade.
You submit a Performance Reward request and then place another trade “just to manage risk.”
That can invalidate your eligibility and cause the reward request to be cancelled or rejected.
Or:
You’re trading a Funded Account and close a position after 1 minute and 30 seconds.
That’s your first Minimum Holding Time violation. Any applicable profit is removed, losses remain, your profit split is reduced to 50% for the remaining lifetime of the account, and we send you a warning.
After receiving that warning, you close another trade in under 2 minutes.
That’s your second violation, and the account is hard breached.
Follow the rules that apply to your account and stop trading once you request a Performance Reward.
For Funded and Instant Funding accounts, keep every trade open for at least 2 minutes.
First Minimum Holding Time violation: profits removed, losses stay, profit split reduced to 50%, warning sent.
Next violation after the warning: hard breach.
When in doubt, check before you trade.
