How does the KYC process work in PropXP?
TL;DR
PropXP’s KYC process is currently manual. When you pass a Challenge and are about to receive a Funded Account, or when you have an Instant Funding account and want to claim your first Performance Reward, you’ll be asked to send your KYC documents to [email protected]. A team member will review them within 1 business day and get back to you.
How it works
- When KYC is required:
- Before a Funded Account is granted after passing a Challenge.
- Before the first Performance Reward on an Instant Funding account.
- PropXP may also require KYC at any time if needed for verification, fraud prevention, or compliance.
- How the process works right now:
- You’ll be asked to send your KYC documents to [email protected].
- A team member reviews the documents.
- Review time is typically within 1 business day.
- After review, the team will contact you with the next step or let you know if anything else is needed.
- What you typically need to submit:
- Proof of Identity (POI): a valid government-issued ID.
- Proof of Residence (POR): for example a utility bill, bank statement, or government letter.
- In some cases, PropXP may also request a selfie check to confirm the documents belong to you.
- Why KYC exists:
- To verify identity before funded access or rewards.
- To prevent impersonation, duplicate profiles, restricted-region access, and fraud.
- To support compliance and reward-processing integrity.
Common gotchas
- If your account details don’t match your documents, expect delays.
- Expired, blurry, cropped, or incomplete documents are the fastest way to make a simple process annoying.
- KYC is not optional if you want access to a Funded Account or your first eligible reward.
- Don’t wait until the last second to prepare your documents if you know you’re close to funded access or a reward request.
- KYC review is separate from general support chat. Sending the right documents clearly the first time saves everyone time.
Example
You pass your Challenge and are ready to move to a Funded Account. PropXP asks you to complete KYC. You email your ID and proof of address to [email protected]. A team member reviews everything within 1 business day and replies to confirm the result or ask for a clearer document if needed.
