Do open trades carry into phase 2?
TL;DR
No. To pass a phase you must be flat — so there’s nothing to “carry.”
How it works
- Passing is based on balance, and PropXP requires all positions closed to secure the result.
- That means you finish Phase 1 by closing positions (and you should cancel pendings too), then you move to Phase 2 clean.
Common gotchas
- Traders close positions but forget pending orders. Then Monday happens.
- “I’ll just hedge it and carry it over” — nope (and hedging/correlation hedging is prohibited anyway).
- The safest workflow is: close → cancel → screenshot dashboard → log out.
Example
You hit the Phase 1 target but keep a runner open “just in case.” Price pulls back, you drop below target, and now you’re not passed. Do yourself a favor: flatten, then move on.
